Parent Education Seminars NOW IN SESSION ON TUESDAYS
The parent sessions will return to the Crescenta-Canada YMCA Tuesday evenings at 7:15 pm starting September 13, 2011. This year, Pam Erdman, MFT will return and we are adding Paul Royer, LCSW who will conduct the sessions on the first Tuesday of each month. We look forward to you meeting both of these professionals who will help navigate parenting the pre-teen and teenager years.
Bring a friend and your appetite. For the next several weeks, pizza and drinks will be provided at the sessions. Since many parents may rush home to eat and then not attend the meetings or rush to the meetings without eating, pizza may help ease the pressure and increase our attendance. Bring a friend to the sessions. These topics are relevant to every parent, lifelong learning is something positive to model for our children.

Pam Erdman, MFT has practiced psychotherapy in Pasadena for 25 years. In that capacity, she has treated individuals, couples and families who are troubled by conflict, depression, anxiety, disintegration, and addictions.
Paul Royer, LCSW
These are tough conversations between parents who know the struggles of kids experimenting and abusing drugs/alcohol and parents who are scared and unsure of what next steps to take. These meeting are for all parents. Your child might not have faced these issues yet, but they will either directly or by association. Pam Erdman’s and Paul Royer’s expertise has kept the sessions organized and provided strategies for confronting the issues and taking action. Parents identify with Pam and Paul. They know them from the school meetings and have a comfort level with them.
Please come participate and get the support in which you are looking for! Encourage fellow parents to attend as well. The pre-teen and teenage years are turbulent and this is an opportunity for direct support.
